WHAT IS SOULBOUND?

Soulbound is Orion's personal project, it is a multiverse about gods called "Creators". They're split in ranks based on their occupation, each duty (or lack of one) gives them a certain amount of power. Creators can make worlds like ours, the beings there are called Creations.

The endless possibilities of that world gives infinite stories to tell, as everything is born, killed and reborn, including the multiverses the events occur in.

WHEN DID IT START

Oh man, get ready for a story.

Soulbound was technically first created when I was 5. Back then, I made a character based on myself who I'd call "Redfox" due to my limited knowledge of English. That OC, or persona, ended up becoming the character that represented me for many years to come. Initially, she started as a fox-puma hybrid, then a fox, then a dragon-fox hybrid named FireBlast. She became the main character of a fictional world I came up with, she was hot-headed, vulgar and always looking for adventure, no matter the sacrifice. She was a strong character, but she didn't really have a world to live in.
Years later, I discovered the Furry Fandom and realized that it's a community that fits my interests perfectly, which greatly changed my perspective of FireBlast, since she officially became my fursona, which made me realize that she doesn't represent me well enough, or at all.
A new OC was made, named Talonflame. I turned them into my fursona, and it worked for around a year, but then I realized that she didn't fit me either. Talonflame became a Creator who was FireBlast's sidekick, always on the side of the smart, charismatic and bull-headed protagonist, and thus, there was finally a world for them to live in.
Eventually, I did make another OC, named Gatto. During Gatto's existence as my fursona, I finally realized found out that I wasn't cisgender thanks to a trans friend that cracked the egg I was in, so Gatto became the first fursona who wasn't a woman, but rather a male.
While the realization filled me with glee, I still felt an itch that identifying as a man wasn't right enough, which was a problem until I realized that I was non-binary.
Alongside my change, there came a new, final fursona, Kronoschus.
Kronoschus wasn't me from the start, I had to keep tweaking them until they felt right, until they felt like me. Eventually, Orion succeeded, and Kronoschus became my first true fursona, the first character that really is me, that really is Orion.
However, what happened to the other characters? After Kronoschus became my fursona, Gatto was redesigned and renamed to Halo, a Pure Creator, expanding the already lived in world, and a power system was underway. FireBlast was redesigned from a slim, feminine woman to a beefy, androgynous agender person. Alongside the change, I felt the need to change her name, as it didn't fit the universe anymore, which is how Behemoth was made. Because Talonflame was always her sidekick, they got changed as well, still similar to their base design and now named Belial.
While the story wasn't too in-depth, I hope that it gets the importance of Soulbound to me across.
Soulbound is not only a project, but also a story that grew and changed with me, every character, every bit of that reality growing more complex at the same time I did.
And that's how Soulbound came to be.

DID YOU HAVE ANY INSPIRATIONS?

Everything I watch serves as inspiration for Soulbound by helping me get more diverse and unique ideas, however, if I had to name the biggest inspirations for Soulbound, they'd be: Five Nights at Freddy's and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018) as those had the biggest effect on me.

WILL KRONOSCHUS BECOME A CHARACTER?

They already are, actually. They're a self-insert above the role of Ultimate Creator that is meant to represent me, or more exactly the power I have over that universe. Because of their role, they never make an appearance and they never will, but they do exist as Timebreak.

WHERE CAN I READ/WATCH SOULBOUND?

As of now, I haven't properly written or drawn anything to tell the story of Soulbound, but it is something I'm planning to do someday.
